Who are your current customers? Can I speak with them?

Going above and beyond for customers creates a whole wealth of evangelists who would love to share their positive experience. If you’re speaking with a potential MPS provider that’s hesitant to let you speak to their existing business, there’s probably a reason! imageOne has a credibility list of customers that we’d love for you to speak with so you can see that we walk the walk and talk the talk.

What does the SLA look like?

Setting expectations for the service level agreement up front is crucial. You’ll want to know that your provider can service all of your locations. And what is the expected response time to resolve issues when they happen? Get a clear understanding of how the partnership will work.

What type of equipment would you recommend for my environment?

This one is key, so don’t let them off the hook by just saying brand names like Xerox or HP. Get specific! Many times, MPS providers will come in with an agenda of which items they want to sell to you before they even get a full understanding of what your needs are.

How much should I be spending on print?

Most IT leaders don’t have much, if any at all, visibility to their printing costs. Your MPS provider should be able to identify your vulnerabilities and help you eliminate any potential risks with secure devices and streamlined processes so you can be rest assured your data is in good hands. Skimping on the security conversation is a MAJOR red flag!
